Spron sends articles to Wix Blog using your existing blog design.
Before you start
Your site needs Wix Blog, a blog author and an API key limited to that site. You also need an owner or admin role in Spron.
Prepare Wix
- Open Apps in your Wix dashboard. Install Wix Blog if it is missing.
- Open Blog and check that you can create a post.
- Create an API key for this site. Allow blog management, member reading, media reading and uploads, and content conversion.
- Copy your site's ID from the dashboard address: it is the value after /dashboard/.
Connect in Spron
- Open Integrations → Wix → Connection.
- In Wix site address, enter the published site address.
- Enter the Wix site ID and API key for that same site.
- Use the form to load the available authors, then choose Article author.
- Finish connecting the blog.
The public site address, dashboard ID and API key must all refer to the same Wix site.
What Spron sends
The title, article body, search description and article images go to Wix. Images are stored on Wix. There are no custom CMS fields to match in this connection.
Check the first article
Send one ready article. Open the post on the public site and check the title, body and images.
Press Republish in Spron to update the same post. If a creation request has an unknown result, check Wix before retrying so you do not create a second copy.
