Spron publishes ready articles to Ghost and updates the same post when you republish.
Create a Ghost integration
- In Ghost, open Settings → Integrations.
- Add a custom integration for Spron.
- Copy the API URL and Admin API key.
Use the Admin API key, not the Content API key. The Content API key cannot publish articles.
Connect in Spron
- Open Integrations → Ghost → Connection.
- Paste the API URL into Ghost site address.
- Paste the Admin API key into the matching field.
- Press Connect Ghost as an owner or admin.
What Spron sends
Spron sends the title, page address, article body, search description and featured image. Article images are uploaded to Ghost. No custom field mapping is required.
The connection publishes to the website. It does not send a newsletter, and it does not provide a draft-only publishing option.
Check the first post
Send one ready article and open it on the public site. Check the body, images and page description.
Press Republish to send later edits to the same Ghost post. It can replace direct edits made in Ghost.
If a create request has an unclear result, check Ghost for the post before retrying. Do not assume a failed response means no post was created.
