Spron adds ready articles to your Framer CMS and publishes the site. Choose the fields you want Spron to fill.
Before you start
You need a Framer project, a blog collection and its CMS page template, a Framer API key, and an owner or admin role in Spron.
Connect the project
- Open the project in the Framer editor and copy its browser address.
- In Site Settings → API Keys, create an API key.
- In Spron, open Integrations → Framer → Connection.
- Enter Framer project editor address. Use the framer.com project address, not the public framer.app site address.
- Enter Blog address, such as https://example.com/blog. Spron uses it for links to published articles.
- Enter the API key and press Find collections.
- Choose your CMS collection, or use Create Spron collection.
Creating a collection does not design the blog page for you. Check that your Framer template uses the chosen fields.
Match the fields
| Spron setting | Choose a Framer field of this type | Example field name |
|---|---|---|
| Title field | String | Title |
| Content field | Formatted text | Article body |
| Meta description | String | Description |
| Featured image | Image | Cover |
| Published date | Date | Date |
| Video URL | Link | Video |
Title field and Content field are required. For an optional field you do not want to fill, choose Do not sync.
The example names are suggestions. Select your actual fields in Spron; you do not need to rename them.
Press Connect Framer when the mapping is complete.
Check the first article
Send one article, then check both its CMS item and its public blog page. Confirm that Blog address matches the actual blog path and that the template shows the body and cover.
Spron publishes the site when it delivers the article. This connection is not draft-only.
Send changes
Edit in Spron and press Republish. Spron updates the existing CMS item and republishes the site. Direct changes to matched fields in Framer may be replaced.
