The Spron plugin saves your articles as WordPress posts, with images in your media library. You choose whether posts arrive as drafts or are published right away.
Before you start
You need WordPress admin access and an owner or admin role in Spron.
Install and connect
- Open your site in Spron, then open Integrations → WordPress → Connection.
- Download the plugin file shown there.
- In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the file and activate it.
- Back in Spron, enter your WordPress site address and connect it.
- Copy the access token before closing the popup. Spron shows it only once.
- In WordPress, open Settings → Spron, paste the token and save.
- Check the plugin's publishing setting. Choose drafts if you want to review posts in WordPress first.
Use your site's public address, such as https://example.com. Do not use the WordPress admin login address.
Where the fields go
The plugin handles the field matching. The title becomes the post title, the body becomes the post content, and article images are saved in the media library. The featured image is set on the post.
You do not need to rename your WordPress fields.
Check your first post
Send one ready article from Spron. Check its title, formatting, images and draft or published state in WordPress.
To send articles that were ready before you connected, use the send-pending action on the connection. It can send more than one article; read the confirmation first.
Send later changes
Editing in Spron saves your work. Press Republish to send the latest version to the same WordPress post. This may replace edits made directly in WordPress.
